Each month here at “My Monthly Business Journals” we will be focusing on one element of your business foundation. Your business foundation is built over time. A strong foundation requires well thought out plans, goals, and accomplishments.

Take 5 minutes to sit back and just think about your business. What have you accomplished since starting? Why did you start this business? Are you where you thought you would be?

Dreaming can be addictive, so let’s try and stay focused. When we say, “Dreaming”, we are talking about Big Goals that you would like to accomplish. And those Big Goals will help us reach even Bigger Dreams!

My personal business dreams have changed completely since last year. We moved from California where I was a full-time Realtor, Mom, Wife, and volunteer to Cary, NC where I am a full-time Mom and Wife. Left with no real career obligation, I started creating my candles and wax tarts again to find that it was a bit harder than I remembered. So, after 6 months I am back to volunteering. I LOVE marketing and have decided to give my greatest gift to an amazing local non-profit: my time.

My dreams for 2013 are to empower my daughter to reach for her dreams, encourage my husband to keep accomplishing his dreams, and to be a productive part of my new community. One way that I have figured out how to be a more productive part of my “global” community is by sharing everything I have learned about business management, marketing, advertising, logistics, budgeting, and success!

Our next step is to break down our “dreams” into workable and attainable goals.
