Business Super Star Vivian May Edwards

What do you love most about your business?: Helping others achieve their dreams, passion and build success!

I have the joy of being part of a business team called, The Ark Global Network. We are global entrepreneurs who have the privilege of helping each member to reach success in multiple businesses which are safe, DSA approved and have a good standing with the BBB.

Vivian May Edwards The Ark Global NetworkI decided to join this group and to start my Talk Fusion business with the Ark because my husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor, we lost our construction business and foreclosed on our home. We have faced many struggles along the way and after seeing the devastation of so many who get caught up in MLM scams, which do not pan out, I was only interested in businesses, which are DSA approved and have a good standing with the BBB. I was not going to involve others unless I was 100 % assured that the business was a safe venture for them.

Vivian May Edwards The Ark Global NetworkI love to help others get started in business, by paying it forward for them if they have the drive and need the financial help. I also love to mentor and encourage those in my team to keep moving forward to reach their dreams and touch success. As with any business, it is hard work and getting others to see your passion is a challenge but I trust Talk Fusion and am proud to involve others in this worthy and successful business.

Business Super Star Susan Stone Belton

Susan Stone BeltonBusiness Name: Susan Stone Belton

Year business started: 2007

I love kids! I decided at age 5 to work with children when I grew up, and  now have done so for over 45 years. My work experiences include operating home-based preschools, leading Gymboree classes for babies and toddlers, teaching teenagers with emotional and behavioral problems in juvenile hall, and managing crisis hotlines for parents and teens. And I am the proud mother of two successful young adults: a 28 year old son and a 24 year old daughter.

About five years ago, I decided to combine my skills and experiences into my own business, being able to work more directly with families on a personal level. And I wanted to also focus on my speaking services.  My business has steadily grown, and I love my work. But I am challenged daily, like all small business owners, on finding the time to both provides the services and also market and grow the business.

Today I am a Family Coach and Motivational Speaker, and have presented hundreds of talks to parent and children groups. I also meet with individual families in their homes to help solve their parenting concerns and challenges.  In addition, I recently published my first book, “Real Parents, Real Kids, Real Talk”, written for parents with children of any age.

1. What do you love most about your business?
What I love most about my business are my clients! I love working with people that have a mission and desire to succeed. I love working with people that are dedicated to their cause and want to do whatever it is to make their goal. My clients have their heart and soul in their business and that makes me want to help them as much as I possibly can.
2. Who do you work with?
I work with nonprofits and on occasion, will work with small business owners.
3. What is the most time consuming thing you do within your business?
The most time consuming thing I do is research. When I’m working with a client, I research everything I can about their business so I can educate myself on how I can best serve them.
4. Who has had a big impact on your personally or professionally?
Personally, my husband is my biggest cheerleader. His support means the world to me!  Professionally, I have many friends and colleagues that support me. Since I’ve been in business for just over 12 years, I’ve met several wonderful, positive people who have (and continue to) support me. I wouldn’t be where I am without all of them.  One of my favorite sayings is: Everyone enters your life for a reason; we just need to have our eyes and heart open to see the lesson we can learn from them.
5. What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting their own business?
My advice would be (and has been): Keep your mind open to learning. Learn everything you can about what it is you want to do. Having a heart-centered business, you will go far.  Keep your mind focused on your mission and vision: Why did you start this business? Who do you want to serve? What do you want to provide for others?  Surround yourself with positive, supportive people. Never get negative; have faith and believe in yourself, no matter what.
